The purpose of the Outreach Committee is to promote the ideas and principles of New Urbanism throughout Central Texas. The Outreach Committee maintains the chapter website and promotes membership to CNU National and the Central Texas chapter. The committee works to create continuing education opportunities through our programmed events by partnering with local and state professional organizations. Every good planning and design process involves the public. The Outreach Committee is available to work with the other committees with public outreach for their individual efforts.

POLICY COMMITTEE The purpose of the Policy Committee is to advocate for policies that encourage urbanism as described in the Charter of the Congress for the New Urbanism. They accomplish this by leveraging resources from CNU National; educating policy makers about CNU principles; promoting CNU members into positions with policy-making authority; and identifying policy problems and advocating for urbanist solutions. To further influence local policy, the Policy Committee established four permanent working groups to identify issues and propose solutions.
